I keep getting an error when importing a bill

UPDATE:  I used the same invoice in a different quickbooks online account and it imported without errors.  I am not sure why it works with one and not the other.

I keep getting an error when importing a bill

Hi there, Brent. I can see that you're having difficulties importing your bill in QuickBooks Online (QBO). It's important to have a basic troubleshooting steps when experiencing issues in your account. Let me provide you with the steps for troubleshooting your browser.

Sometimes, cache-related issues can cause QuickBooks Online (QBO) to load incorrectly, preventing you from connecting with your bank. Let's start with accessing QuickBooks Online using incognito mode or a private window.

Here are the shortcut keys to go private mode in a browser:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If this works, you can proceed to clear your browser's cache and cookies and clear temporary files running in your browser that have caused the malfunctions. Otherwise, you can also use other supported browsers to ensure it runs QBO efficiently.

If the issue persists, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online support team. They can help you check what's the problem.

Furthermore, you may refer to our article and check your CSV format before you import them in QBO.

Additionally, to ensure that your transactions are always matched, you can follow our article on how to reconcile an account.

Thank you for reaching out with your inquiry. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to contact us. I'm here to help you ensure smooth and efficient billing operations.
