I need to change the payment method for Quickbooks payroll

It's nice to see you here, @Anonymous!

You can go to Payments from your Accounts and Settings. Allow me to help you accomplish this so you can change your payroll payment method.

First, please note of these few things before changing your payment method:

  • Only a Master Administrator or Company Administrator user can change your account's payment information.
  • Payment information changes must be done using QuickBooks Online in a web browser. You won't be able to update payment information from the mobile app.
  • If you purchased your QuickBooks Online subscription through an app store (iOS or Android), you need to update your payment information through the app store directly.
  • You can pay for QuickBooks Online with MasterCard, Visa, or AMEX. EFT and ACH are not accepted.

In addition, changing your credit card information in QuickBooks Online automatically updates your Payroll subscription. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Accounts and Settings.
  3. Choose Billing & Subscription.
  4. Under Payment, select Edit.
  5. Enter your full credit card information. This includes your complete card number, name on card, expiration date, and security code.
  6. Verify your billing address in QuickBooks Online is the same the billing address on your credit card statement.
  7. Select Save.
  8. Click Done.

Once done, I'm confident you'll be able to change your payment method your monthly payroll billing.

Lastly, here's an article you can read to learn more about changing your payment method: Billing and Subscription Information for QuickBooks Online.
