I used to be able to manually attach a receipt file when categorizing transactions. Is this still possible, or do I have to do this in 2 steps now?

Yes, you can still attach files while categorizing transactions in QuickBooks, Bertelsen.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Accounting menu from the left panel.
  2. Select Bank transactions.
  3. In the Pending section, click the Plus icon under the Paper clip column to attach a receipt while categorizing.

 

 

You can also create bank rules to streamline the categorization of your transactions.
