You can only see the check images imported to QuickBooks Online, Lewis. However, the visibility of the check representations sent via Online Bill Pay is unavailable. I can help you request this functionality from our developers to track and verify payments in one place.
I recognize how convenient it is to maintain digital copies and see them in QuickBooks Online. Since we're currently unable to do this, I recommend submitting a suggestion for this matter. I'll show you how.

As a workaround, manually capture photos or scan the checks for digital storage. Using a third-party app from the Apps menu for digital storage and management of check images can also be an alternative. Just label and organize the files, and regularly back them up to prevent data loss.
Additionally, you can print a check in QuickBooks Online to hand it to your vendors.
Furthermore, open the print setup and adjust your alignment settings to ensure your checks align and print out correctly.
