Incorrect Payment Dates on Invoice and Statement Payments

We're running Quickbooks Mac Plus 2022 (V21.0.11) R12

When a customer pays an invoice or a statement, sometimes (perhaps always, I'm not sure), the payment date that gets applied to the customer/job interface is the first day in our company file, not the payment date. The Record Merchant Service Deposits window shows the correct payment date. This is annoying and a problem, because it's inaccurate and also confuses the customer when we generate statements.

We currently have 144 customer payments with the wrong date.

Incorrect Payment Dates on Invoice and Statement Payments

I can see the importance of having accurate payment dates reflected when a customer pays an invoice or statement, Jason. Let's work together to get this resolved.

To begin with, please ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mac Plus 2022 software is up-to-date. Sometimes, outdated versions can cause issues that are resolved in newer updates.

If the issue persists, consider utilizing the Verify and Rebuild Data tool. This tool helps identify and resolve common problems related to incorrect payment dates on invoices and statements.

Before you rebuild your company file, use the Verify Data tool to scan your company file for errors or data damage. To do that, here's how:

  1. Navigate to File, then Utilities.
  2. Select Verify Data, then select OK to close all windows.

If there are no problems with your data, you’re done. However, if you see Your data has failed the integrity check you'll want to rebuild your file.

To rebuild your company data, here's how:

  1. Go to File, then Utilities.
  2. Select Rebuild Data, then select OK to close all windows.
  3. If prompted to back up your company file, click OK. If you prefer not to back up, select Cancel.
  4. Once the rebuild's finished, select OK.
