Invoice - "Pay Invoice" button problems and bugs

I'm doing invoicing and of course quickbooks has made a bunch of changes, as always, so nothing works like it should AS ALWAYS. I have turned off the credit card and other options for the accepted payment methods and yet NOW it's still putting a clickable "pay invoice" button on the invoice that when clicked goes to a page where they cannot pay. Before when these methods were turned off it would simply not put the pay button on the invoice because IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO. So now even though its turned off its still putting a button that is disfunctional.

For a different customer that has 5 open invoices, I discovered I can check box all 5 and "batch" process print them and it puts them all into one .pdf file. That was absolutely awesome, but the problem was on this customer, they are a credit card payment account but even though I had the credit payment option checked and it did put a "pay invoice" button on each one but it wasn't clickable. This system is so BUGGY!

In all cases I would be fine with them paying with credit card if quickbooks would add the additional fee to their invoice. That's the one thing everyone on this forum is screaming for and the one thing they won't change. Everything else shifted, moved, changed and turned on its head on a daily basis just to drive us insane.

Yesterday, I had to log in real quick to send someone an invoice and every time I tried to enter the "rate" price for the line item it just disappeared. I called qb tech support and we did a screen share and I'm showing them what its doing and of course their first go to is it's your browser and after showing them in all the browsers, they're like yeah that's crazy. So again, a simple task that should've taken me 2 minutes turns into an hour long ordeal. This is a regular occurrence. The constant changes they claim are improvements absolutely kill my workflow.

Quickbooks would be amazing if they would just get it working and then leave it alone. I feel like I've been beta testing something that's not ready for public release for the entire 3 years I've been using it.

Invoice - "Pay Invoice" button problems and bugs

We hear you, TeleToast. I'm here to share some steps about invoices.

Since you mentioned that you turned off your credit card and accepted options in your company settings, let's first create another dummy invoice transaction and send it to yourself to see if it still shows up. This way, we'll see if changes will occur on the newly created transaction, and we can conclude that it won't affect the existing invoices.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the + New icon, then choose Invoice.
  2. Click the Add customer dropdown and select the name of your customer.
  3. Fill out the Product or Service section.
  4. Click Review and Send.
  5. See if it displays Print or Save in the display window.
  6. Click Send Invoice.

If it still displays Pay Invoice after following the steps above, I encourage you to contact our support again. Doing so will allow them to utilize their tools and resources to dig deeper and find the root cause of this matter.

Kindly follow these steps to contact them:

  1. From your browser, log in to your QBO account.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Choose the Search tab.
  4. At the bottom of your screen, click Contact Us.
  5. Type your concern, and then click Continue.
  6. You may choose Callback, Appointment, or Chat to connect with us.
  7. Kindly fill out the provided fields, such as your First name, Last name, Email address, and Phone number.
  8. Depending on what you choose as your way to connect with us, click Callback, Schedule an appointment, or Chat.

You can also learn about our QuickBooks Support hours to know when to call.

Once everything is working on your end, and you can send an invoice to your customer, you can record an invoice payment so it balances your account.

Please let me know in the comment section if you have additional info about invoices. I'll be around to help you in any way I can.
