Invoice print status/memo

Is there a way to add a custom field to invoices that I can see in the list of invoices?

For example, it currently shows Invoice #, Date, Amount etc

I would just like to add a custom field or something to indicate when I last sent the invoice.

Thanks for any info. Sorry if I've overlooked it.

I'm here to guide you on how to add a custom field to show in the list of invoices, @rgoldman.

Custom fields let you track the information that matters most to you and your customers. To set up a field to appear on your invoice lists, simply follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. In the Find report by name field, find and open the Invoice List report.

  3. Select the gear icon at the top right of the report.
  4. Under Change columns, check the box for the custom field you want to add.
  5. Select anywhere outside the settings panel to close it.

I'm also adding this link to guide you create and utilize the enhanced custom fields in QuickBooks. This provides you more flexibility to attach custom data and drive insights through detailed reports.

Feel free to get back to this thread if you have other questions managing custom fields in QuickBooks Online. I'll be more than happy to help. Have a nice day.

Invoice print status/memo

That might work but its a rarely lengthy process for what I need. I just need to see when it was last mailed/printed in the Customer's Invoice list. Not print a report everytime, but that could work.

I thought maybe I could use tags but it will not show in Invoices colums/rows list.

I guess I can use customer notes that shows just above the Invoice list.

Thanks

Click on Sales in the left side / Select the customer you want / to the right side of the page on top of "action" click the gear icon and click "show more". Your custom fields will be towards the bottom. Select the ones you want to appear in the transaction list. This will apply it to all customer accounts.
