Before we proceed, could you please describe what exactly occurs when you attempt to use the mobile deposit feature? Are there any specific errors? Providing more details will help us offer the most effective troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

 

Please note that mobile check deposit is a service provided by QuickBooks Checking and is subject to certain eligibility criteria. To use this feature, your QuickBooks Checking account must be active and in good standing, and best of all, there are no fees for using mobile check deposit.

 

If you meet these criteria and are still facing issues, I recommend performing some mobile troubleshooting steps. Let's start by clearing the app data on your device.

 

For Android:
 

  1. Go to Menu ☰, then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Select Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Click YES to confirm.

 

This will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.


For iOS and Android, if the problem continues, let's perform uninstalling and reinstalling the app as this resolves typical issues with app functionality.

Mobile deposit has never worked for me. Has anyone been succesful using mobile deposit?

Mobile Deposit not working?

The mobile check deposit is subject to eligibility criteria. To utilize this service, your QuickBooks Checking account must be active and in good standing, Dturska.

 

It's best to ensure you've signed up for QuickBooks Payments, QuickBooks Checking, or QuickBooks Money and meet our requirements first to have the option to deposit checks.

 

Once you meet the criteria, you'll see the option to Deposit checks when you click on Get Money and be eligible to deposit both business and personal checks. Please note that all checks must be in your name, endorsed by you, and drawn on a bank account in the United States or a U.S. territory.

 

Check the following Requirements for deposit:
 

  • Sign your name legibly on the back of the check using blue or black ink.
  • Write For mobile deposit only after your signature.
    • Green Dot is a federally regulated bank, and they require customers to write "For mobile deposit only" on the back of their checks.
  • Write Deposit Complete on the front of the check as a reminder that you made a mobile deposit.
  • Keep the check for 14 days in case we need it for verification or research.  After 14 days, you can shred the check or continue to keep it for your records.
