My snap receipt function fails to upload every time. My internet is working fine and fast. I shut down my phone and it still doesn’t work.

We can go through some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue with your receipts, @drew-g-j.

To start, could you please let me know the specific error message you encountered when trying to access your snap receipts?

Since the QuickBooks mobile app does not automatically upload receipts, this issue might be caused by a syncing problem or temporary cached data within the app. We can perform a quick refresh and reset to address any stuck receipts.

Here’s how:

For iOS

  1. Go to Settings and tap on General.
  2. Click on iPhone Storage, then select the QuickBooks Online app.
  3. Tap on Offload App.

For Android

  1. Open the Menu icon and tap More Options.
  2. Click on Settings, then select Refresh Data.
  3. Select YES to confirm.

If the problem persists, I recommend uninstalling the app. You can do this by tapping and holding its icon, then reinstalling it to ensure you have the latest version.

Alternatively, upload or manually attach your receipt to the transaction. This can be done efficiently by using a supported web browser on either a desktop or your mobile device to quickly snap and upload the image.

To upload your receipt using a web browser, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Go to the My Apps tab and select Accounting.
  3. From the dropdown, choose Receipts.
  4. Click on Upload receipts or Upload from Google Drive.

  5. Select and add the receipts.

To manually attach a receipt to a transaction, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Go to Accounting and select Bank transactions.
  3. Locate the relevant transaction and click the icon under the attachment icon.

  4. Select and add the receipt.

On top of that, you can also email your receipts for a streamlined, automated process that boosts the integrity of your financial records.
