Hello there, @LG_2024. Thanks for letting us know how the changes impacted your end when creating invoices inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).
In the new invoice experience, you'll be able to identify what category the item is once you already added it to the line item. The option to see the entire path of the product and service is unavailable. I can see how beneficial it is for you and your business. Therefore, I recommend sending a message to our development team. This way, they can review your suggestion and consider it for future product enhancements. Here's how:
1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
2. Type in your comments or product suggestions.
3. Select Next to submit.
As a workaround, you can rename those in the Product/Service information to easily identify when creating a transaction. Here's how:
- In Sales, choose Product and Services.
- Select the product or service you want to modify the name and click Edit.
- In the Name field, put an identifier to distinguish the product easily.
- Once done, hit Save and close.
On the other hand, you can record the invoice payments to connect them to the invoice to balance your accounts.
