Non-employee reimbursement

Hi.   I manage the accounts for an HOA.   Recently the HOA President paid the annual filing fee to our State government.  In the past this was paid directly from HOA accounts as a bill from the State and a payment from the HOA.  How do I record this transaction?  Ideally I would still like to show the bill coming from the State.

In this instance, I recommend reaching out to your accountant for further steps on how to record this transaction. An accountant would be able to give you the best advice based on your unique business setup and workflows.
