Let me guide on you the best practice to match your GoPayment transactions with QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS), @america954.
You'll have to connect GoPayment to your QuickBooks POS to sync the payments outside your store. This is through the QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale Mobile Sync feature. It gives you the ability to make sales using your inventory on your mobile phone or tablet.
You can start with activating your Mobile Sync in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) POS. To do this, here's how:
- Sign in to your Intuit Payments Account.
- On the upper right, select the $ Sign In icon. If you have multiple accounts, select the account you wish to use.
- Once complete, click the cloud ☁ icon on the upper right.
- Select View Sync Preferences where Mobile sync can be turned on or off, and You can increase or decrease sync frequency.
- Select Sync Data and then Save.
Then, sync specific inventory items to your mobile device in QBDT POS. Here's how:
- From the Inventory menu, choose Item List.
- Highlight the item you wish to sell in GoPayment.
- Select the Edit button on the upper right to open the Edit Inventory Item window.
- In the More Info section, put a check on the Sync to Mobile checkmark box.
- Click Save.
Once you're done, go ahead and sync departments to your mobile device. For the complete details and step-by-step guide, please see this article: Connect GoPayment to QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.
