I’ve got you covered, ammtec.
Based on the information, it looks like your using QuickBooks Desktop. We’ll have to configure the Alignment Grid to adjust the horizontal/vertical settings. This is to fine-tune the adjustments and position of printed text on your checks.
I’m here to help make sure the process is a breeze for you. Here’s how:
- Press the File menu at the top bar and choose Printer Setup.
- In the Printer setup window, click the Form Name drop-down menu to select Check/Paycheck.
- Go to the Check Style section and tick the radio button for Voucher.
- Tap the Align button to open the Fine Alignment window.
- From there, press the Print Sample button and compare it to your pre-printed checks.
- Review the alignment grid that QuickBooks printed on the sample.
- In the Vertical and Horizontal fields, tell QuickBooks by how much and in what direction to move the printed text and press OK.
- Click Align again and print another transaction using a sheet of paper.
Compare the sample to your check and adjust if necessary. If you continue to get the same result, use the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool to resolve the issue. Here’s an article that will walk you through the process: Troubleshoot PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.
