Please be aware, some customers received an email request to confirm their Intuit user ID as part of our implementation of an even more secure authentication system. If you received this email, please follow the steps below.
To complete this process, open QuickBooks Desktop and select Help> Update QuickBooks Desktop> Get Updates to ensure your QuickBooks is on the latest release. You will then be prompted within QuickBooks Desktop to setup your Intuit ID with your payments account. After completing these steps, no further action is necessary and the email you received can be deleted.
Thank you,
QuickBooks Payments Team
I have just updated to the latest version and was not prompted to verify my user ID. Where can I go to do that? Why can we not do that with out following links in an email.
There must be somewhere to verify my user ID without clicking a link in an email.
Please advise.
Hi there, @Vickie3.
Thank you for following the recommendation given by our QuickBooks Payments Team. I can help you set up your Intuit ID with your payments account.
To begin, let's run a repair to fix any program-related errors. Make sure to prepare the Desktop installation CD or if you purchased QuickBooks through the phone or online, download the installer from the website.
Here are the steps in fixing QuickBooks (Windows 10, 8/8.1, and 7):
After that, download the latest QuickBooks release once more. That should prompt you to the Merchant Services Setup window.
Otherwise, you will have to contact our QuickBooks Payments support. They have the necessary tools to help with the process.
Let me know if you're able to set up your account or if you have other questions. Just leave a comment below. I'm still to help you more. Have a good one.
