New client and they use DrChrono to capture medical patient billings and receives payment via square.
The client uses Quickbooks online. I cannot find info on how to import DrChrono patient billings into Quickbooks online.
Any info or direction to point me to in order to research how to import DrChrono into QBO would be appreciated - I cannot find anything specific to DrChrono and QBO.
Thank you, Diane M. Spolar
Hi there, DianeMarieCPA.
Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing about uploading data to QuickBooks Online. Then, ensure you'll be routed to the right support team to assist you further in importing DrChrono patient billings into QBO.
You'll have an option to connect other software to QuickBooks Online to automatically sync your data. Since you're using DrChrono to capture billings, I suggest contacting their support. They can verify if you have the option to integrate and import the data directly into QBO.
In case DrChrono doesn't support the option you want, I suggest going to the Apps center inside QBO. From there, you're able to see hundreds of apps and search for a specific app to make your goal possible.
Additionally, you can refer to this article to see details on how you can upload receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online from your computer or mobile device, or even from your email account: Upload your receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.
Lastly, you may refer to this article to see different details on how to import data to QuickBooks Online works: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.
As always, you can leave a comment below or start a new thread if you have any other concerns. I'll be keeping an eye on your response.
ChristieAnn - thanks for your reply. I will investigate with DrChrono and the app for syncs.
Take care, Diane.
Greetings, fellow CPA!
There is a generic import for invoices that may help... I stepped through all of this using the QBO demo link, downloaded the sample CSV format, replaced with different sample invoice data, and imported... then checked to make sure that the invoices imported properly.
First, turn on Custom transaction numbers in Accounts and Settings; otherwise, Dr. Chrono invoice numbers will be replaced by standard QuickBooks invoice numbers.
Next, open Notepad and copy/paste the category:service from within QBO that you want on these imported invoices. It must be an exact match.
Gear > Import data
Invoices
Click on Download sample CSV file
Delete sample data, rename and replace with data from Dr. Chrono, save as CSV.
Upload your CSV file
If new customers should be imported, tick Add new customers to Quickbooks
Note: Existing customers that are not exact matches will be added as new. I tested this with a transposition in a customer name. The last screen will both show and count the new customers... if all looks good, tap Complete Import.
If you get an error in the import steps, use Previous to get back to first screen, fix CSV, save, then Upload your CSV file again.
Your clients use DrChrono to create invoices for patients and receive payments through Square, correct? They will need one app to import the Invoice and another app to reconcile the payments from Square.
