I have set up Bill Approval (email and link all good).
What I havent figured out yet is how to ensure the bill is NOT able to be paid until it is approved.
I am still able to pay it even though it is not approved.
What am I missing?

I can see how convenient it is to have the feature to disable the option to pay the bill until it's not approved, ldartnall.
However, this functionality isn't available in QuickBooks Online at the moment. Thus, I recommend sending your thoughts to our product developers about having the option to allow withholding multiple states every single pay period. Ideas like this help identify the features our customers want the most for consideration in future enhancements.

Thanks for replying but if the bill can be paid without approval, it all seems a bit redundant!!
Another option, signup for a separate Melio account for free to integrate with QBO. You can use the approval feature later.

What is the point in having a bill approval workflow if it doesn't prevent other team members from paying it before it has been approved? What is the functional purpose of such a useless workflow?
