Creating an invoice with products tied to account codes.

Hello - trying to create invoices with products that I have created in quickbooks - with revenue account codes tied to them - so that they are automatically categorized correctly on income statement.  QB1.jpgQB2.jpgWhen adding items to invoice - it's all free form and cannot select the aforementioned products.

Thank you for providing the screenshot in this post, xop. I will outline the steps so you can easily find the product and service in the column, ensuring everything runs smoothly moving forward.

 

The reason the product and service didn't show up in the invoice column is that they have not yet been activated. You need to activate the product and service first so that they will appear in the column.

 

Here's how:

  1. In your invoices, click the Gear icon in the right corner.
  2. Under Customization, select the drop-down arrow.

  3. Next, scroll down to find Product/Service. If it is greyed out, slide the toggle to the right to activate it and make it green.

  4. There you go you can now check the column.
