New layout, note to customer gone

Ever since the new layout the note to customer section is gone when i use the app to make an invoice. This is where i usually put a description of the service i performed.  

 

This new layout is horrible. Why am i being forced to use something i dont want? I pay for this service.

We acknowledge the convenience of having the ability to add a Note to customer in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) app, aa7483. Allow me to share information about the New layout and provide an alternative so you can use the feature.

 

In the New invoice layout on the QBO app, adding a Note to customer is currently unavailable. However, you may consider using the Invoice message field on the app as an alternative. This option functions the same as the Note to customer feature.

 

First, kindly select a customer and product or service item. Then, scroll down on your Invoice page and look for the Invoice message option. You may refer to the screenshot below as your visual reference:

Still, I recommend sending a feature request to our developers by logging in to your account using a regular browser. This way, you can send your suggestions and be considered for future updates.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Log in to your account using a regular browser.
  2. Go to the Gear ⚙ icon and select Feedback.
  3. Enter your feature request and suggestions.
  4. Once done, click Next to submit.

 

Furthermore, you may also utilize your regular browser to enter a note to an invoice for your customer. To guide you with this, kindly follow the steps below.

 

  1. Log in to your account using a regular browser.
  2. Go to the + New menu and select Invoice.
  3. Fill out the necessary details of your data on the Invoice page.
  4. Scroll down to the Note to customer field and enter your note.
  5. Click Save and close or Review and send (to send the invoice to your customer).

That does not show in my app. Only on desktop. I cannot use a desktop for my invoicing as i am on the road.

Thanks for getting back to the thread and adding a screenshot, @aa7483.

 

It only takes a few steps to show the Invoice message field in the QuickBooks Online mobile app. To do this, make sure to select a customer and a product or service first in your invoice window. This way, you can go to the lower section of the invoice to enter a note.

 

Alternatively, you can log in to QuickBooks through a regular browser using your mobile phone. Then, follow the steps given by my colleague to enter a note.

 

In addition, you have the option to customize your sales transactions. This will help you decide what info your customers can see and only add the details that matter most to your business.
