Sales Receipt number showing on deposit, not check number

When I go to my deposit window the Sales Receipt number is being displayed and not the check number. I have compared the set up to another set of books I have and they look the same. How do I get the check number and not the Sales Receipt number to show for deposits

Sales Receipt number showing on deposit, not check number

Hey there, @MLStorm

Congrats on making your first post here in the Community. Allow me to give you some information about why the sales receipt number is showing on a deposit instead of the check number.

The reason why you're seeing the sales receipt instead of the check number is because the transaction type is a sales receipt, so it'll provide that number. As for the first transaction you see on the list is a "payment" for the type, that means the check number will appear if it was with that payment method.

The system is working properly and you shouldn't have any problem going forward.

If you have any other concerns, don't hesitate to let us know. We're always here to have your back. Wishing you and your business continued success!

Yes, that's how the Payments to Deposit window appears. However, when you select and then include the sales receipts on the actual Deposit window, the check number appears there.
