this is what I think is a simple question that no one at QuickBooks can answer: What button do I hit that tells me how much I have had in income for the year, from 1/1/23 to 12/31/23? Every company in the world has to report earnings, so please help

Let me guide you in generating a report that only gives you all the income transactions you’ve made within the year 2023 in your business using QuickBooks Online (QBO).

We can generate the report you want by filtering the transactions in the Profit and Loss report feature in QBO.

Here’s how:

1. Log into your QBO account.
2. On the left panel, choose Reports. 
3. At the upper right corner in the Find report by name tab, type in Profit and Loss.
4. Click on Customize, then select Filter.
5. On the Filter dropdown options, mark check the Distribution Account box.
6. On the Distribution Account dropdown box, choose All Income Accounts.
7. Once done, click on Run Report.

You can also change the date of your report based on the specific range you want by clicking on the dropdown icon under the Report period at the top of your report page.
