Vendor Address Field

I'm experiencing a problem with the way the vendor address is populating on a 1099 vs the way it populates on a payment check. For example, if I type "1234 Main Street, Trenton NY 54376" into the address field of the Vendor file, that is what populates on the "Address" field of the check. The problem being that I need to have a company name precede the address in order to mail the check in a No. 9 window envelope (ie: Bob's Grooming, 1234 Main Street, Trenton NY 54376" I have found a way to populate the company name into the address field that prints on the check by adding the company name as line 1 in the Vendor address field when I set up the vendor.

However, when I print 1099s, the company name is duplicated, because the 1099 pulls both the "Name" and the "Address" data from the Vendor file.  So each year, I go into the Vendor file and delete the name from line 1 of the address field manually in the Vendor file, print the 1099s, and then I have to go back into each vendor to re-add the company name as line 1 into the Vendor file for future check printing.

Does anyone have a solution for this? It's quite time consuming.

Vendor Address Field

Your confusion ends here, @User54376.

Allow me to fill you in on everything about the vendor information populating from the Form 1099 and check payment.

QuickBooks is depending on the information entered on the field. Please know that the information populates on the 1099 form are Vendor NameCompany Name, and Full Name: First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name. To ensure the company name isn't duplicated, you'll want to check the information on each field aren't entered twice.

At this time, the solution we can consider right now based on your concern is to manually modify the name in the Vendor file when printing 1099s.
