I’ve had that headache with the QB/Green Dot card too, especially when traveling. The fraud system is pretty aggressive and flags anything outside your normal spending area. What helped me was giving Green Dot a heads-up before trips (kind of like you would with a regular bank card), and also keeping a backup card handy because sometimes they’ll still place a hold no matter what. Unfortunately, there’s no magic fix in QuickBooks itself, it’s really about Green Dot’s risk system. If you’re traveling often, you might want to consider using the QB card only for deposits and transfers, and do spending through a different account that has better fraud-travel support.
