Why doesn't QBO allow for a project/service to be used together with category when creating a PO?
I'd like start booking invoices to projects, but Quickbooks is limited in that it'll only create a PO by category or by product/service, not both. This is a very normal combo in all my years of using various accounting systems so am I missing something here or is QBO is just behind times?

I'm using QBO also, but we don't use POs. I have found Tags very useful; currently using tags for tracking salesperson (so I can run a report by salesperson to calculate commissions) as well as project (or event as we call them). I can assign multiple tags to all of my forms - invoices, etc. Hoping this might help you with your assignment of projects to purchase orders.
