Get help with QuickBooks products and services

Learn how to get help with your QuickBooks product or service.
You can find answers to common questions using the Help panel in your product. If you can’t find the answers you need, you can also connect with an expert for your product.
Use the in-product help
Select the product you use to learn more about the Help Panel.
For a better experience, open this article in QuickBooks Online. Launch side-by-side view.
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
- Select (?) Help.
- Select the Assistant tab to get help from the QB Assistant, or Select the Search tab to enter your question and find Help articles.
If you need help with QuickBooks Capital or QuickBooks Live, sign in at these sites.
- Open QuickBooks.
- Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
- Enter the question, keyword, or topic you need help with.
- Sign into your QuickBooks Self-Employed company.
- Select Help.
- Search for the question or topic you need help with.
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Workforce account.
- Select Help.
- Enter your question and find help articles.
Note: The QuickBooks Workforce app doesn’t have a Help Panel yet. You’ll need to sign in to QuickBooks Workforce through a browser to access Help.
Connect with an expert
If you couldn’t find the help you need with the QB Assistant (QuickBooks Online only) or by searching the Help panel you can connect with an expert. To connect with an expert select Contact Us in the Help panel and fill out the form. We’ll direct you to the right support team.

QuickBooks Plus and Enterprise include support.
If you don’t see the option to contact us in the Help menu, it's no problem. Check your display settings in QuickBooks Desktop.
If that doesn't work, you might need to update your version of QuickBooks Desktop. This is free and should take a few minutes and an internet connection.
- Gold tier and higher
- Monday to Friday: 4 AM to 8 PM
- Saturday: 6 AM to 3 PM
- Sunday: closed
- Silver tier
- Monday to Friday: 6 AM to 6 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: closed
- Chat support
- 8 AM - 9 PM ET Mon-Fri and Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM ET.
QuickBooks Online Payroll (Core, Premium, Elite)
- Core - Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM PT.
- Premium, Elite - any time, any day.
QuickBooks Desktop Payroll
- Basic, Enhanced, or Standard, M-F 6 AM to 6 PM PT
- Assisted Payroll, any time, any day.
QuickBooks Workforce
- Workforce chat is available Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM PT.
