I use QB desktop. I have the new card reader for chips and have in the past connected via usb port and used to take payments via credit card. I have received payments with the reader. Now, when I go to payments and select "use Credit Card" a note pops up stating EMV supported device not found, Use your existing device. Well, the only device I have is the new card reader. I called tech support and she had me do some things on my computer, switch the usb ports for using the reader. Nothing worked and I was told the reader was bad and needed a new one, original one now past the warranty (received in July). I received a new reader now and I am having the same issues. My new reader is receiving the same message and the computer does not recognize the new reader either. I upgraded to MS11 and don't know if that is a problem or not. I cannot undo MS11, past 10 day trial. I upgraded quick books with no joy either.
I am looking for a solution, is there an app for my desktop that may need or is it something else?

The system is fixed. Contacted chat service and through three techs, multiple down loads and 5:30 hours it now works. Ended up doing a major Quick Books repair of the software for the major fix.
Also, when I click on merchants deposit the system no longer can find the information.
The screen comes up "A search for bank accounts in Quick Books has caused an error"
