Create multiple projects per customer

How do I create multiple projects for the same customer? When I create any project for a customer, they no longer appear on the list and I can't even change the project name. The system seems to be limiting me to one project per customer.

Create multiple projects per customer

Hello there, @ClemDac

Thanks for posting your concern here in the Community today. As an insight, the Projects feature is designed for only one customer that has multiple services. Hence, there isn't a way to create multiple projects for the same customer.

Instead, you'll want to consider adding new transactions to a project. You can add new transactions like invoices, expenses, or estimates directly into your project. Here's how:

  1. Select Projects, then select your project.
  2. Select Add to project to create a new transaction.
  3. Select InvoiceReceive PaymentExpenseEstimateTime, or Bill.
  4. Fill out details for the transaction like you normally would.
  5. Select Save and close.

Consider having a project management app with more features to integrate with your QBO.

Create multiple projects per customer

Hey I found a work around for it.

Go under the client name, projects, and add another project to the client. It will now show up when you edit the "to" section.
