Employees being clocked out

certain employees notice they are being punched out without physically clocking out on the app during the work day. Is there a known bug that is causing this?

Welcome to the Community, harvest_power.
 

I've reviewed our ongoing/solved investigations and can confirm there's currently no reports about employees being clocked out without having clocked out themselves.
 

There's at least one possible reason this could be occurring. If your company settings require GPS to be turned on while employees are on the clock, and an employee turns their locations services off while they're clocked in, your team member will be clocked out and prompted to turn location services back on to clock in.
 

I'd initially recommend checking the company settings you have set up, and if necessary, check with your employees experiencing this if they need to be keeping GPS turned on. If you're settings are configured to require location services for employees to remain clocked in, they'll need to keep them active to not be clocked out.
 

In the event your settings aren't set up to require GPS to be turned on, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

Our team are having the same issues and they dont even use the app to clock in. They use the kiosk only...

Since your team is using a kiosk but you're having the same issue, I recommend contacting our Customer Care team. This way, they can check further information in your account and investigate the cause of this issue.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Time.
  2. Select HelpImage of Get Help icon..
  3. Look for the existing Product Help articles.
  4. If you can't find an answer to your question, select Contact Us.
  5. Enter your concern, then select Continue.
  6. You can then choose a way to connect with us:
  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a call back from the next available expert.
