Hourly Cost Rates not Updating

I updated all employees' individual cost rates in their accounts, but the time activity reports are not updating with the new rate.  How can I fix this?

Hourly Cost Rates not Updating

I know how important it is to show all your employees new rates in the Time Activities reports as it's essential for your business, @JRPR17.

A cache-related issue is likely causing the inability to update the new rate when running the time activity report. In the meantime, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to determine if the issue is related to your browser. You can use a private or incognito window to rule out cache problems in your browser. Here are the shortcut keys:

  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

After that, go to the QuickBooks Online (QBO) page and run the time activity report to check if the new rate has been updated. If it works, you can clear your browser's cache. This removes the webpage data that's causing the issue. If a private browser doesn't work, you can use other installed supported browsers as another option.

Hourly Cost Rates not Updating

Thanks for your support, Clark B.  The solutions did not work in the private browser session or when using other browsers.  What is the solution when clearing cache wasn't successful?  This is very important to get solved as the reporting must be accurate for project costing and analysis.
