To set up the mileage tracking in QuickBooks Time, we need to turn on the add-on features exclusive to the Elite accounts. I'd be happy to guide you through the steps.
Here's how to turn on Mileage tracking:
- Open your QB Time Account.
- Go to Feature Add-ons, then select Manage Add-ons.
- Search for Mileage Tracking, and select Install.
To enable automatic mileage tracking for team members while they are clocked in, it's essential first to turn on the location settings on the web dashboard. After that, team members must also activate location tracking in the mobile app.
If they are using an iPhone, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings, then tap the Workforce.
- Select Location, then Always. Make sure your global location settings are also on. Go to Settings, select Privacy & Security, then Location Services.
- Turn on Location Services.
If they are using an Android, here's how:
- Select Settings, Location, then select App Permissions.
- Find QuickBooks Time, and select Allow all the time.
- Turn on and use precise location.
