What is the proper way to handle Salaried employees on QuickBook Time?    Should they have their on Shift?
Even though the employee is on a salary their vacation is still limited.
Thanks

Salary Employee on Time

Set up hours and time-off tracking for salaried employees in QuickBooks Time. Details are below, LDO.

Create a shift schedule for salaried employees to monitor work hours, attendance, and manage overtime. Here's a step-by-step guide for handling their vacations in QuickBooks Time:

  1. First, go to My Team in QuickBooks Time.

2. Then, tap the three dots at the side to add their details and set everything up.

Moreover, for time tracking and management of time off, salaried employees should clock in and out to record their attendance and any extra hours worked.

Additionally, employees should use the Time Off feature to log vacation, sick days, and other types of leave.

Lastly, to Track Time (Vacation Sick Days, etc.) please take note of the following:

  • In QuickBooks Time, you can set policies for vacation, sick days, and other types of leave.
  • Ensure employees know how to request time off within QuickBooks Time.
  • Set up an approval workflow for time-off requests if needed.
  • When an employee takes time off, it should be recorded in the system which will adjust their available leave balances accordingly.

To learn more about time tracking, here's an article for you to visit: Salaried Employees and Time Tracking | QuickBooks Time.
