Updating Payroll Category in Quickbooks Time

We have updated some payroll categories in MYOB however we are unsure how/where we can update these categories in Quickbooks Time so that when we run the MYOB report it will successfully import into MYOB.

Hi BekA-SE,


Thanks for posting in the Community! You'll have to manually add or set up the pay categories in QuickBooks Time as there the pay categories from MYOB does not flow automatically in QuickBooks Time.


Here's how to:


  1. Click on the Company Settings from QuickBooks Time.
  2. Click on Payroll & Overtime.
  3. Under Overtime, click on Manage Pay Rates.
  4. Click on Add Settings.
  5. Enter your Payroll Categories. Enter the same details with what you have set up in MYOB.
  6. Click on Add.
