Thanks for taking the time to personally test the process of clocking on and syncing your data to QuickBooks Online, lorijschwartz74. Let's go ahead and ensure that your team members can also clock in using their mobile devices.
In addition to setting permissions to access the Workforce Time Tracking app, you also need to enable mobile app entry for each user. This added permission allows them to clock in and out using their smartphones or tablets.
When this feature is turned off, employees can still access the mobile app to review their timesheets, but they will not be able to track their work hours using their devices.
However, this feature is automatically enabled once the user is added to the system. Nevertheless, let's go ahead and check the settings just in case it was accidentally turned off.
Here's how to get started:
- Go to Company Settings, select Time Options, and then choose Time Entry.
- Uncheck Allow team members to manage their own timesheets, then check Allow team members to track time on the mobile app.
- Click Save.
To help you navigate the intricacies of user permissions, I recommend checking out this article: Change QuickBooks Workforce settings and permissions.
Once done, let them log out and log back into their account to check if they can clock in on their mobile devices.
Just in case they can't still clock on, I'd recommend reaching out to our phone or chat support teams for QuickBooks Workforce. They can take a closer look at the user's profile to determine what's preventing them from using the mobile entry.
