Hello, CRobinseaux.
I'll share some idea on the tax form versions in QuickBooks. I'll also throw in a solution to help you handle the missed 941 form filing.
QuickBooks doesn't generate the Q4 2020 941 form anymore. The program will use the current tax form year version to populate the data.
You'll want to download the 2020 941 form from the IRS and populate your tax data manually.
I would also recommend using the Tax Form Worksheet report to populate your data from 2020. Here's how to pull it up:
- Go to Reports.
- Hover on Employees & Payroll.
- Go to More Payroll Reports in Excel.
- Select Tax Form Worksheet.
If you want to file other tax forms manually (for the current period), you can check this article here: Pay and file payroll taxes and forms manually in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.
I'll link this article if you need a guide or two in checking other financial data within QuickBooks: Understand reports.
I'll offer a helping hand again if you have more questions in managing your taxes and forms in QuickBooks. Need help recording your transactions or other entries? Let me know the details below.
