ACE Reporting Spreadsheet of Total Hours/Month

I am not able to pull information that I need. I need to run a report for 2023 & one for 2024 up until 6/1. I need to know the hours worked, by month, by employee.

 

I have read & searched the internet. Some of them got me to the report part, but then I cannot get it to pull up the correct info.

 

HELP!

The Payroll Summary report in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) gives a clear view of payroll data for a specific period. This report is essential for managing employee details and preparing tax documents.

 

To run this report, here's how:

 

  1. Open your QBDT company file.
  2. Go to the Reports menu.
  3. Navigate to Employees & Payroll, then Payroll Summary.

 

Once done, you will see your employees' names and their worked hours.

Additionally, please know that the option to access a monthly report directly is unavailable. Instead, you must generate it and export it to Excel. This way, you can combine all the data in your spreadsheet.

 

To help you with the process, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Open your Payroll Summar report.
  2. Go to Dates, adjust the From and To fields, then Refresh.
  3. Head to the Excel dropdown to export this data.
  4. A prompt window will show, then click Export to download this information to a CSV file.
  5. Continue following the steps until you arrive at the final date.

Do you need to know the hours worked, or the hours paid? And, by the date worked or the date paid?

 

If worked, then the only way to get that in QuickBooks is if you use the Time Tracking feature, since payroll dates and worked dates don't always end up in the same month.
