Adding a reciept I captured using the mobile app to a journal entry

Hi,

I captured a document with QB mobile app receipt snap feature and it appears in the receipts tab in QB Accountant. Now I want to create a journal entry in QB Accountant and attach that document to my journal entry but it does not appear in the list of available captures to attach when I click on "show existing" in the attachments field. How can I do this?

I appreciate the steps you've done by far, Andrew. I see you want to attach a document to a journal entry. I'm here to make sure you get this done ASAP!

You can attach the images of receipts to the JE by uploading them. However, there isn't an option to assign the already snapped receipts awaiting review to the entry. I suggest uploading your receipts to QuickBooks Online from your computer.

Once done, you can proceed to attach a receipt to your journal entry. Here's how:

  1. Open your Journal Entry transaction.
  2. From the bottom left, select Attachments.
  3. Browse and click the receipt that you want to attach.
  4. Click Open, then Save and Close.

For detailed information, refer to this article: Add or delete attachments in QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns about attaching the receipt to the journal entry. I'm happy to lend a hand. Take care!
