Hi,
How can I add Class to Transaction List of Donor Report, Please?
Thank you!
Thanks for reaching out here with us, ixAmjadxi. I've come to provide insight when running specific reports to help manage business finances in your account.
At this time, the option to add Class to Transaction List by Donor report is currently unavailable. You may consider utilizing the Sales by Class Detail report to acquire specific information when tracking business transactions. This contains a more detailed input of your entries and modifies them to a particular class. To do this:
Moreover, I'm including this reference to guide you on how to save customization settings of your reports: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online. It includes steps on how to export and schedule them.
I'll be on this thread anytime you require further assistance when managing reports in your file. Just reply to this post, and I'll make sure to get the help you need. Take care and have a good one.
Hi @FateCandylaneT ,
Thank you for your support.
As a nonprofit organisation, we don't have sales. So the funds received by the donors are categorised in Classes (e.g. Medical, School, Food, etc.)
What I'm looking for is a report that shows the contribution for each donor with the classes they specified.
I already have the contribution report using Transaction List by Donor, I tried to add Class to it but didn't work.
Is there a way to have both in one report please?
Thank you!
Amjad
Thanks for getting back with the Community, ixAmjadxi. I appreciate your detailed information.
If you record donations as sales in QuickBooks, the Sales by Class Detail report mentioned in FateCandylaneT's post will display each transaction's detail.
In the event you'd prefer to rename your report, so it doesn't say "Sales", you can save its customization and enter a specific title that you'd prefer it to have.
Here's how:
You'll be able to access saved custom reports from your Custom reports screen.
If the Sales by Class reports don't work for what you need, there's a few other options:
I've also included a detailed resource about creating custom reports which may come in handy moving forward: Create enhanced custom reports
Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a great Wednesday!
