Adding contract terms on the back of an estimate/proposal

Nearly two years on and still no further forward!

I think the programming team is one man in a broom cupboard with allot of money for advertising.

QuickBooks. You are too expensive to keep saying you'll 'forward to your developers'.  DO SOMETHING.  There are hundreds of threads asking y'all to do this.  YEARS OF THREADS.

Adding contract terms on the back of an estimate/proposal

Hello, @Small biz I truly appreciate you adding your voice to the conversation, I will let our Development Team know that this feature is very high on the priority list for you and many other customers.

I see how making the flow of sending estimates can be made so much easier with a function where terms can easily be added, I will keep you updated in this thread.

If you have any other questions I'd be happy to assist you with those as well :)

This needs to be more than just an attachment. Our company would like to issue invoices through QB with backup support attached to the invoice, but the email has just each document as a separate attachment. Imagine an invoice that has 20 or 30 pages of backup and each page is a separate subcontractor invoice or there are multiple material invoices. I can't send an invoice email to a client and have 30 attachments to download and then sort. My only option is to merge all the backup into one file and then attach, but then I might as well merge and email outside of QB. Or...how about this for something novel....you are able to grab the attachment from the bill you just invoiced to the customer? I've been using QB for well over 30 years in various businesses. Intuit has yet to create anything of real impact, in my opinion. I can't use half the features because they don't work for my needs or they aren't customizable enough. Being able to add a second page of terms to an estimate or a Purchase Order shouldn't be something that is "still in development."

Problem with that answer is that QB Enterprise IS more than just the financial package. It's promoting itself as more than just accounting. Our purchase orders also have terms - it's a full page, so you can't just add a text box to the template. We aren't the only ones that have a full page of terms on the back. It's common in the construction industry - the same industry that QB has an Enterprise version for.

How many YEARS does QB have to hear this before they fix this issue.  Been using since 2010 and still no resolution so clearly NOT a priority.

How about an additional app as the workaround?

If we could format estimates to include contract terms with every estimate...Quickbooks would be unstoppable!!

13 years of customers requesting a fix - and still no fix.

We are now quoting outside of QBO as we simply cannot get the program to do what is really should be able to do.

Why isn't this a priority - clearly many people over many years are wanting this fixed.

You may consider having a proposal management app to integrate with QBO.

This is such a joke that platform this big doesn’t offer options to create contract agreement or some other way of adding one.

Using a proposal management app is the solution. Unless you can find contract management as a basic feature in other accounting applications in the same class as QB

I agree!!!  Its time to fix this.  not having this is like quickbooks saying you can't have a total price displayed at the bottom.   Quickbooks should be ashamed of themselves for not having this basic feature.

When I email an invoice, I need to be able to have the terms and conditions automatically be attached to the invoice.  It is a full page of T&C and won't fit in a small text box.  If I email an invoice I don't want to have to remember to paperclip the T&C.  That is not a responsible way to cover legal requirements that could inadvertently be left off.  When I need to add finance charges to an emailed invoice when payment is late or place a lien on property, they need legal notice in the T&C so my rights to collect are protected.  Why can't they be added as a second page to the invoice or be part of the template which would include a seond page for T&C?

Consider having a proposal management app to integrate with QBO. The downside is you can't use QB Payments any longer to accept payments.

We can't use the online version of QB because it doesn't allow for some of the same job costing features that Enterprise does. I tried to switch over once and it was very limiting and didn't work for construction as a general contractor. We need something more robust but everything out there is 10x the price, so we deal with the shortfalls for now.

This is not “solved”. It is not at all what the user is asking for. Your company and service is truly a joke!
