It's great having you again here in the Community, @AmandaEQ.
Although we can't add a column to see the cost of each item in the Inventory Stock Status by Item, I can suggest an alternative report in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to achieve the customizations you need.
You can consider running the Inventory Valuation Detail report to show the quantity on hand with the corresponding cost for each item and its sales price. I'll outline the steps below.
- Go to the Reports menu.
- Select Inventory from the drop-down menu, then choose Inventory Valuation Detail.
- Choose the reporting period.
- Click on Customize Report.
- From the Display tab, put a checkmark for Sales Price.
- Select the Filters tab.
- If you need to choose specific inventory items, select the Item filter from the Current Filter Choices section.
a. Select Multiple items... from the drop-down menu and put a checkmark for the inventory items you want displayed.
- Hit OK.
If you want to save the customizations of your reports in QBDT, let me add this article as a reference: Create, access, and modify memorized reports.
