After I swipe a customer CC I want to print a slip with a signature with CC info(last 4) along with they agree to the charge. Deskstop version does this. can QBO do it?

I'm using QuickBooks online via desktop chrome browser with a usb card reader. What I want to do is print a credit card slip after I take payment from the customer. The Desktop version would do this and it would have the customer name the last 4 digits of the credit card and a signature line with it stating I agree to pay the total amount shown above in compliance with the cardholder agreement. I also use quickbooks for my merchant service as well. thank you if anybody can help me!

Thank you for visiting us here. Allow me to step in and share some insights about printing the Packing Slip under the QuickBooks Online feature, clarkar00.

In order to print a packing slip for a customer, an invoice or sales receipt will need to be selected.

Here's how to create and print a packing slip:

  1. From the menu on the left, choose Sales, then Customers
  2. Click on the customer's name.
  3. In the Transaction List tab, click the box next to the sales receipt or invoice to print a Packing Slip.
  4. Choose the Batch actions drop-down, then select Print packing slip
  5. Now, the print preview screen will open where you can choose printing options.

Also, you can try accessing your packing slips and printing them to receive the payment window. I've included the steps below to do this.

  1. From the Sales menu, choose Invoices
  2. Find the invoice you need to print a packing slip for.
  3. Next to Receive payment, click the drop-down arrow and select Print packing slip

In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about printing your packing slip: Create and Print a Packing Slip.

Hello I don't need to print a packing slip. I need a credit card slip that the customer can sign and agree to the charge. Like if you go to a restaurant for example they give you one receipt with all of the charges typically there point of sale makes it. than a second one that has the charges, a tip line, and the grand total that you sign. So my steps are to check out a customer by generating an invoice taking payment by swiping there credit/debit card via a usb-card reader attached to a desktop pc via QuickBooks Online with QuickBooks merchant services. We use to use QuickBooks Desktop which would print two receipts for the customer one for a signature agreeing to the charges and one of the invoice. Thank You!

Good day, @clarkar00.

Let me join in this conversation and answer your credit card slip queries in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

For now, printing a slip with a signature and CC info along with their agreement to charges is unavailable in the online version.

Although, you can look for a third-party app card reader that can support this feature. This way, you can print the credit card slip. Here's how:

  1. Login to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to the Apps menu and search for the app.

You can also search for the app in this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/

Additionally, there are several financial reports you can run to track your sales income in QuickBooks. They will show you helpful insights on the things you buy and sell, and the status of your inventory.

Should you have any follow-up questions or concerns, don't hesitate to post again here in the Community or leave a comment on this thread. Take care and have a good one.

I’ve experienced the same issue. No signature receipt like the desktop version. QBO has sidelined normal features like this and Credit Card swipe es no longer working  for sales receipt payments.
What app are suggesting that can print  signature receipts? All I see is the Go Payments reader which does not work with desktop computers only Bluetooth mobile devices. And are you suggesting dropping Intuit for merchant processing because signature receipts are not supported?

Thank you for reaching us here, flytint. I can help you provide the steps to implement this feature in the future.

Currently, the feature to print a slip with a signature isn't available in QuickBooks Online. I recommend sending feedback to our product developers to inform them about your request.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Press Next.

Once done, our designated team will review it. You can track your future requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

About what app to use, I can't suggest a specific one. I recommend exploring a third-party app that supports this feature.

Furthermore, you can check out this article to learn how to personalize and add specific info to your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online

Feel free to comment if you still have other concerns related to printing. I'm always here to help. Take care.
