Has anyone found a solution for the Aging reports Detail to be presented by columns aging buckets like the summary one is presented? My boss hates this report and I don't blame her. We have 20 pages of open payables and its very difficult to see a whole picture when decided what to pay. The summary report should be expandable. Quickbooks is the only program I have ever seen present it this way!

In QuickBooks Desktop, customizing layouts of the Aging Detail report into columns by aging buckets, is currently unavailable in the program. I recognize the efficiency of how this workflow helps your business to keep track and manage payables in your account. However, this column layout is applicable for Aging Summary reports.

@FateCandylaneT Whoever is editing the support staff's post, please rework the following part:

I don't know who is writing your scripts, but even by business gibberish standards, this is bad.
I think they use a custom "word salad generator" app to write this stuff. I believe it takes a normal sentence and then substitutes every preposition with a different one, then also replaces common words with formal ones, and then randomizes the word order, adds random commas, and then bolds some words just for kicks.

Well, it's a detail report, so it's going to show one row per transaction. And so I don't know how it could get shorter. How do you imagine it should be structured and still show the details? Maybe there's a way...
I don't have to imagine anything, I have seen it in living color over the 35 yrs plus I've been doing accounting
yes row by row detail but column represent 30, 60, 90 days etc vs listing in sections on a row. Again just like the summary layout columns but expanded to detail level by row
RE: I don't have to imagine anything, I have seen it in living color over the 35 yrs plus
Well, I've never seen it and I've been working in accounting for about the same length of time.
Putting the amounts due in columns wouldn't make the report shorter (right?), but I guess then it'd be easier to see the portion of each customer's overdue balances when in which aging bucket. Is that what you want?
Maybe if you provided an example report that would help others understand.
