I'm glad to provide some info regarding what kind of services are allowed to be invoiced in QuickBooks Online.
For the specifics I recommend checking out the Merchant Agreement for QuickBooks Payments. There's an acceptable use policy section that outlines any prohibited business types. You'll be able to verify if your services fall into the accepted category.
If you have any other questions you may considering speaking with a member of the Payments Support Team. An agent will be able to give you even more details about QuickBooks Payments policies and procedures.

Hello there, @smeany-blueplain.
Let me route you to the best support who can verify if you can invoice services like VOIP in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to keep your financial data accurate.
To appropriately record the services you offer to your customers, I encourage you to check with your accountant if you can use QBO to invoice services like VOIP. They can also provide expert advice and direction tailored to your business needs.
If so, you'll first have to set up VOIP as a service item. Then, go ahead and create your invoices in QBO.
Also, you may want to check out one of our Help pages as your reference to guide you in managing your business growth and transactions in QBO: QuickBooks Learn and Support. It includes help articles, Community discussions with other users, and video tutorials, to name a few.
Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have other concerns about managing service items and income transactions in QBO. I'm always ready to help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @smeany-blueplain.
Thank you for the information. My question is really geared toward whether the QBO User Agreement will allow for services like Voice over IP Telephony to be invoiced in QBO. Please advise?
