Let me guide you in running the Balance sheet report in QuickBooks Online.

In QuickBooks Online Essentials, you should be able to run the Balance Sheet report. Let me show you how to do it:

  1. Go to Reports menu.
  2. Type in Balance Sheet in the search field.
  3. Click to open the report.
  4. Change the date and filter if necessary, then Run report.

I've included this article to help you learn more about the reports available for your QuickBooks Online version: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription.

You can also check out this link if you want to personalize your own reports: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Balance Sheet Report

I appreciate your prompt reply, @foxhead.

The Balance Sheet report is available to all versions of QuickBooks Online (QBO). Since it doesn't show up upon searching it on the Report page, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this fixed.

One of the possible reasons why the Balance Sheet report doesn't show up in the list when searching is that the browser you're using had a data issue, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. To verify, let's log in to your QBO account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option N

Once logged in, go back and search the Balance Sheet report again to double-check. If this works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I recommend switching to a different one.

Let me know how the troubleshooting goes, @foxhead. I want to make sure this issue gets resolved.

You may also want to know which reports are available in the Essentials version of QBO. This article will give you such information: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription.
