Blank Transaction Details - Can't Open Transaction

Why is QBO doing this, and how do I fix it?  When I click on my P&L, the details are blank and I can't open the transaction.

I appreciate you sharing the screenshot of your P&L report. This really helps us to identify the issue and find the best solution for you.


Since you are seeing totals but the detail pages appear blank, I recommend signing out and signing back in to your QuickBooks Online account. This simple step often refreshes the system and resolves display issues. You can also try using a private or incognito window when running the P&L report, as missing data can sometimes be caused by a browser-related issue.

I'm sorry, but those steps didn't fix it.

BTW - It occurs on multiple computers and browsers.

Since the details are still blank and you still can't open the transactions, I recommend contacting our Live Support team as they have the necessary tools to look at this issue closely and securely.

  1. Click the Help menu or the (?) icon in the upper-right corner of QuickBooks Online.
  2. Select the Assistant tab.
  3. Type contact support in the chat box and press Enter.

  5. Decide your preferred support option: Have us call you or start a chat.

I just tried everything that support suggested.  They escalated to tier 2 support and still not fix.

 

I researched online and many other people have had the same issue, since 2023.

 

I noticed it happens when moving a category from one location to another in the P&L, if it has transactions inside the category.

Can you please get your help in esclating this issue too?

Good news - tech support fixed the issue.  It works now - When I click any item in the P&L, it shows all the transactions in the detailed view!  

Thank you QBO team!!  I was very nervous when I saw the similar issue in 2023!!!
