Hello to all;
Under income in my profit & loss report, in the row below Total Income, I have a line that says "Gross Profit". I do not want that line and want it off my report but I can't find where I can remove it. I could not find "Gross Profit" in the chart of accounts. I have used quickbooks for years and my other budget to actual report do not show that. I cannot remember how to remove it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there, Billavoider.
Thank you for taking the time to post here in the Community. Let me share some insights about the Gross Profit showing on your report in QuickBooks Desktop. This is one of the components of the profit and loss statement of a business. This appears on the report after deducting the cost of goods sold (COGS) from your revenue. The option to remove it is unavailable.
You'll want to consider exporting your report to Excel and from there, remove the Gross Profit line that is showing on the report.
I've some links about customizing and exporting report in QBDT:
Please let me know if you have any other concerns. I'll be right here to help you out.
Thank you for your prompt reply...however I have been using quickbooks pro and premier editions for over 15 years and I have companies which are the identical type of entities and this does not show up even after I upgraded to quickbooks desktop 2020...I just can't recall how I managed to remove it in the past. Thanks for your effort though.
