Buy nowHi. I currently have all of my statement formats created in QSW and want to know if anyone has had experience using QSW with QuickBooks Desktop 2024? We're currently using QB Desktop 2021 and have to upgrade, and all of our statements are modified and formatted using QSW.
Thanks in advance!
We're glad to have you here in the forum, sskarstad.
I'll share information regarding QuickBooks Statements Writer (QSW).
QSW is an add-on feature used to create professional financial statements. Please know that it's only available in QuickBooks Premier Accountant, Enterprise Accountant, and Enterprise Solutions.
On the other hand, you might want to review these resources for guidance on troubleshooting issues with QSW:
Keep us posted if you have questions or clarifications regarding QSW or other related concerns in QuickBooks Desktop. We can always lend a hand.
I just spent over two hours on the phone with QB support. I upgraded clients to Desktop 2024 (from 2021) as we do payroll for them, not just record keeping. But QSW will not work. I keep getting the "An unrecognized file was selected. Only ISW 2009 files can be imported. Please select an ISW 2009 file and try again." message.
The "support" person said that Intuit does not support QSW with Desktop 2024. And that I would have to go back to an earlier version of QB. (????) Yet here you are saying the it is only supported in Enterprise. I was constantly put on hold so "support" could ask someone else for assistance. When I asked if I could just talk with that person or a manager, I was told it didn't work that way. On hold, off, on hold off, for over two hours.
Further, according to "support" Intuit did not send out any message about Desktop 24 and QSW not being supported. I am really frustrated, and no further in any solution.
