To clarify, this is only achievable by utilizing the custom field option. However, adding a custom field using the mobile app is not possible.
Alternatively, you can add the PO field by logging into your account using your browser. Here's how:
Please note that you can only use this field when you're managing your invoices using the browser. The created PO field does not apply to the mobile app version.

I've seen numerous responses to the same questions regarding the missing PO field and it not being available on the app. But not one of those responses has addressed the reason why it's not on the app. It's a simple field. It existed in the prior version of the app. So what was the purpose of taking it away? It makes absolutely no sense, unless QB is trying to force people to upgrade to a more expensive version of the service. Seems likely. Can someone please explain??

To begin with, we don't have information on why the option to add a Purchase Order (PO) section in the invoices was removed, as only the product developers have access to that information. If you need to create POs, you can sign in to QuickBooks using your mobile browser or web interface.
I understand that having the ability to create POs on the mobile app would be helpful. You can send this as a suggestion from your QBO company so our engineers will be aware that you would like to have that option. Here's how:

This is bull I can no longer use the mobile app as my customers require a po on all my invoices PUT IT BACK I HAVE USED QUICKBOOKS FOR MANY MANY YEARS UNLESS THIS IS FIXED I WILL BE LOOKING FOR OTHER ACCOUNTING OPTIONS
Just in the past week our custom field "PO" has been removed. We can no longer access it all through the mobile app. The only way to circumvent the issue is to use the web browser on the phone to log into Quickbooks online. However, Quickbooks has been trying to force us into using the app for years now. Now that we are using it they are taking away features that we need. ALL OF OUR INVOICES REQUIRE PO's, taking away this option is completely ridiculous!
