Can I add more line items to my invoice template. It starts with only two and it throws me off . I would like to have it start with about 8.

My invoice template shows two line items. I want the template to start with more. Can I adjust?

Welcome to the Community, @chgoodell.

In QuickBooks Online invoice templates, you cannot set a default number of line items to show. However, I'll show you how to add line items when you create an invoice.

Here's how to add line items using the old layout:

  1. Click the +New button and choose Invoice.
  2. Scroll down to the Product or service section.
  3. Click the Add lines button under the line items.
  4. Add necessary details, then choose Save and close.

Here's how to add line items using the new layout:

  1. Click the +New button and choose Invoice.
  2. Scroll down to the Product or service section.
  3. Click the Add product or service button from the dropdown under the line items.
  4. Add necessary details, then choose Save and close.

That's rather limiting. When using Desktop QuickBooks, or as I like to call it "real QuickBooks", all you have to do to see more rows is resize the window. Super easy and basic functionality.
