Can I book owners distributions to also show as expenses in individual projects, without booking them twice. Is this possible?

An owners distribution is only made in an s-corporation, x-amount per share to all owners.

An owners draw, sole proprietor and partnership, is the owner/partner taking value from the business for personal use.

In either case, no, a distribution or a draw can not be used an expense.

Thanks, Rustler. This is helpful. Maybe there's a better way for me to do this. I have a construction company, often with more than one project at a time . I don't  make a distinction between profit and salary in QB, and I've just been taking draws from what is left after I pay for everything on a project  What I would like to happen is for payments to myself show up in project reports. Do you have a suggestion on how to do this?
