Can I create an invoice with monthly payments. How do I setup the terms to only show the monthly payment due and not the entire invoice due?

Hello there, @kia.

Thanks for joining the Community space. I’m here to share some information on creating an invoice to only show the monthly payment due in QuickBooks Online.

The ability to create an entire invoice with terms to only show customer the monthly payment due is a feature that I can see as being helpful to you and others. I’d recommend sending feedback to our Development Team for consideration in future software updates.

You can do so by clicking the Gear icon and selecting Feedback. You may also send your product request via this link: https://feedback.qbo.intuit.com/forums/168199-quickbooks-online-feature-request.

While this isn’t available, you can check out the QuickBooks Online progress invoicing feature. You can create multiple invoices from an estimate to track the progress of a particular job.

You can send invoices out of the entire amount on an estimate with only the monthly due showing. Make sure to turn on progress invoicing in your QBO account to start using the feature. Here’s how:
1.    Click the Gear icon and choose Account and Settings.
2.    Select Sales from the left menu and choose Progress Invoicing.
3.    Select Save, then choose Done at the bottom right.

For the steps on how to create a progress invoice, you may take a look at this article: Progress invoicing for QuickBooks Online

If you have questions or clarifications, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’ll be around to help. Wishing you the best!
