Can I delete a product or service? Trying to do it on a phone. Its clustered and I need to simplify it.

When creating an invoice you can add product or services. I would like to delete some of those entries.

You have me to help you delete an inventory.

 

The option to delete a product or service item is unavailable in QuickBooks. However, you can deactivate it to remove the item from the list.

 

Let me guide you how:

 

  1. From the Sales tab, select Products and services.
  2. Locate the item and click the Edit drop-down under ACTION.
  3. Select Yes.

How do I delete a service I created? When I go to edit it on my sale tab, in the products and services.

I have another way how you can delete a service created on the product and services page, NicNico.

 

For now, deleting a service item is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, we can set them as inactive instead. This won't show up on sales from, lists, or financial reports. To do so, you can follow the steps below: 

 

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select Product and Services.
  2. On the right side of the search field, click the filter icon.
  3. From the Action dropdown, click Edit and select Make inactive.
  4. Press Yes to confirm.

In case, you'll want to use the item again and wants to reactivate it, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon in the top menu.
  2. Choose Products and Services.
  3. Select the Filter icon.
  4. From the Status dropdown, tap All and then, Apply. This shows you all of your active and inactive items.
  5. Find the product or service that you want to reactivate.
  6. From the Action dropdown, press Make active.
